Steven is pre-deceased by his grandparents, Alex and Margaret Stevens and Doug Barnes and Jean Culbert. Steven had a passion for carpentry; he was a master of his craft. He embraced the art of building and renovating homes, his attention to detail was unparalleled. After graduating from North Delta Secondary School in 1995, he attended BCIT and successfully graduated as one of the top in his class Journeyman Carpenters. Steven briefly worked in Japan building log homes, where he met his long time friend Yasuko. Steven was a mentor and teacher to many people, especially in the field of carpentry and he was always willing to lend a hand. He had many friends and loved all team sports, especially playing hockey. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a very quick wit.
