I am saddened to learn about Steve's passing.  While I knew him only briefly through work, I got to know him as a very warm man and highly skilled professional. My condolences to his family and loved ones.

I wanted to pass my condolences of Steven's passing. He was a great man, and even better mentor. I had the fortune to be one of his students in his Time Series class at SFU three years ago. I learned a lot from Steven, and the way he passionately taught each of us everything he knew is something that I will remember and cherish forever.
