1933 - 2010
Susan Sook Sim Tom passed away suddenly but peacefully on November 29, 2010 in Vancouver.
She was born on September 20, 1933 in Guangdong, China and in her late 20s, married and moved to Canada to start a brave new life. She is survived by her loving husband William Lok Shing Tom, daughter Shelley and son Shane who will all miss her dearly.
Susan was a keen entrepreneur, avid ballroom dancer, karaoke queen, stylish dresser, enthusiastic gardener, general handyman and the toughest negotiator you’d ever meet.
Please come celebrate her life at the Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Friday December 10 at Forest Lawn Chapel, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC.
The Interment will follow in the Garden of Tribute section of Forest Lawn Memorial Park, a very short walk from the Chapel.
A lunch reception will follow at the Golden Swan Restaurant, 5380 Victoria Drive (& 38th Avenue) Vancouver B.C.
