Sylvia Helen (Junek) Hall March 1, 1917 - Sept 25, 2016 Living a full life until the end, Sylvia died peacefully at the age of 99. She was predeceased by her loving husband George in 2004. She will be greatly missed by her children John (Rachel), Margaret (Dave), and Lorraine; grandchildren Derek, James, Jesse, Beth, Jackson, Tula & Nigel; great grandchildren Tempest, Madison, Tabitha, Logan, Hunter & Miah; her many nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Esterhazy SK to pioneering parents, Sylvia studied music and had teaching and nursing careers before settling down in Vancouver. She was dedicated to her family, church and community, right up until her stroke in 2011. Her interests were many: art, theatre, ballet, opera, tai chi, gardening and reading. Sylvia expressed her creativity in textile and visual art. We give thanks to the staff at St. Jude's Anglican Home for their loving care. Memorial service to be held at Oakridge United Church, 305 West 41st Ave., Vancouver on Saturday, October 8 at noon.
