
She was born in the seaside town of Lurín, Perú on October 15, 1943, daughter of Federico and Blanca (nee Yon) Chiang.
She is survived by her sisters, Guillermina Lam and Justina Chiang de Rázuri (Alberto); sister-in-law Ana María Chiang, cousins Lucy Wong, Maria Leung, goddaughter Rosa Amelia Sotelo Figueroa.
She will be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends from Lurin and Lima.
Predeceased by her husband Bing Yew Wong, parents, siblings (Olinda Choy, Edilberto Chiang) and brother-in-law Felix Lam.
After her parents moved to the district of Magdalena del Mar, Lima and opened a new grocery store she worked at Bodega Trujillo. She also provided assistance to our relatives at Bodega Caracas. Later on she worked at Libreria Geminis.
Teresa was a well-travelled and independent person. She visited her parents while they lived in Macau. On her way back to Peru, she settled in Vancouver.
Teresa worked for CP Air for 20 years . Being bilingual in Spanish and English she provided translation services to Japan Airlines and Canada
Customs. She enjoyed helping out many passengers at YVR Airport.
It was through her job that she was able to visit other countries
in Europe, Asia, South America.
She was an excellent travel companion and gourmet taster.
The family expresses its deepest gratitude to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Richmond Hospital, BC Cancer Agency and VGH for their unwavering care and support during Teresa’s journey.
