Mrs. Tim Yee Yung

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tim Yee Yung. She passed away peacefully in Burnaby, BC on September 16, 2024, at the age of 87. She is survived by her son Willy (Trudy), daughter Betty (Duncan), and her granddaughters Samantha, Katelyn, Megan, and Emma.

Tim Yee will be lovingly remembered by two brothers, one sister, their spouses, a sister in-law, a brother-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and other extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband and five beloved siblings.

Born in Taishan, Guangdong, China, Tim Yee moved to Hong Kong shortly after her 1958 high school graduation. In 1964, she married Sui Ting Yung. Over the next decade, she assisted in her husband’s business while raising two children. In 1974, with sponsorship from her oldest brother and sister-in-law, she immigrated to Vancouver with her family. After retirement, she devoted countless hours helping to raise her granddaughters. She cared for them dearly and leaves them with many loving memories. We will all miss her kind heart, generosity, easy going personality, and friendly smile.

A private service will be held at Forest Lawn on October 4, 2024.
