his first wife Betty and second wife May. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Sharon (David),
sons Walter (Jeannette), Calvin, Wayne (Tanya) and Wilson, and grandchildren Ashley, Matthew,
Hailey and Rylee. Tommy built a memorable piece of the Edmonds community with his first and
lasting produce store, Tommy’s Market, established in 1964 just shortly after he migrated to Canada
from Guangzhou, China in 1957. Tommy’s Market was his pride and joy and he will be deeply
missed by the community. Tommy was well known for his kindness and infectious smile. He loved to
share his talent in the kitchen, passing on his authentic recipes to his children and grandchildren.
A Visitation will take place at Forest Lawn Funeral Home (3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC) on
Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 7pm to 9pm. A celebration of life will take place at Forest Lawn
Funeral Home at 10 am on Monday, December 18, 2017.
