Tzai Jane Wu 吳潘翠琴

Mrs. Tzai Jane Wu was born on January 6, 1933 in Shanghai, China. After graduating from high school, she immigrated to Hong Kong where she met the love of her life. Getting married in 1954, Jane had given up her dream of being a nurse to dedicate her entire life to her husband, daughter, and son.

In 1984, Jane and her family of four immigrated to Vancouver, Canada where she spent the rest of her life. Jane was honest, generous, and forgiving. She was a proud Catholic and taught her values to her two children. She would always be found singing whenever there was music being played. Jane was especially happy when her guests finished all the food that she had cooked for them. She enjoyed music, cooking, sewing, and knitting. She took great pride in her needlework and embroidery. But the pride of her life was her two children, whom she loved with her whole heart.

Mrs. Tzai Jane Wu passed away peacefully at the age of 88 in the early morning hours on October 19, 2021 at the Burnaby Hospital. Mrs. Wu is survived by her daughter, Angela and her husband Joseph, her son, George and his wife Catherine, and her grandchildren Michelle, Georgiana, Catalina, and Angelina, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jane, you will be dearly missed.

吳潘翠琴女士於一九三三年一月六日出生中國上海，中學畢業後移居香港並認識吳志權先生，兩人於一九五四年結婚，她放棄做「白衣天使」的夢想，專心相夫教子，並誕下一女一子，全心全意照顧家庭。

一九八四年她與家人移民加拿大溫哥華定居，並且直到終老。吳潘翠琴女士是一位品格高尚、宅心仁厚的長者，而且她是一位虔誠的天主教教徒，以言以行，身教其子女。她熱愛音樂、烹飪、縫紉及編織毛衣等，每逢聽到音樂演奏，都會不其然地哼起歌來。對於烹調煮餸，都是樣樣皆能，特別喜歡獲得別人的讚賞及青睞。

至於她畢生的摯愛，當然是她的家庭；她的終生成就與驕傲，也就是她的一對子女。

吳潘翠琴女士歿於二零二一年十月十九日清晨在本那比中央醫院，安祥離世，享年八十八歲，遺下女兒吳如璋及其夫婿江伯誠，兒子吳俊傑及其妻子李家韻，偕同孫女曉芙、頌恩、頌雯、頌嘉，以及一衆親友。
