Mrs. Verna May Williams

Verna passed away peacefully in Port Moody on November 25th, surrounded by all of her loving children and her beloved grandchildren. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, George “Sonny” Williams and her son, Vance Williams. Verna leaves behind her daughter, Dawna (Nels) Guloien; her two sons, Tom (Dawn) Williams, and Jim (Kristine Michaud) Williams; her grandchildren, Krista, Leah (Jamie Biluk), Marla, Nicholas, Kimberly, Rachel, Michelle, Dane, and Zachary; her three sisters, Alexa (John) Chykowski, Elsie Taylor, Marj (Gordie) Miller; sister-in-law, Janet Cook; ex-daughter-in-law, Nancy Williams, along with other family and many good friends. For most of her working life, Verna dedicated herself to the family company, at Sonny’s side through thick and thin. She was a member at The Vancouver Golf Club for almost three decades and she will be remembered by her dazzle and keen fashion sense at every occasion. A Celebration of Verna’s Life will be held on Tuesday, December 6th, 2016, 12:30pm to 4:00pm, at The Vancouver Golf Club, 771 Austin Avenue, Coquitlam, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Society – George Williams Endowment, would be greatly appreciated.
