It is with extremely heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing

of Mom, Mama Fran, Auntie Fran in her 100th year.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter Carol (Stewart), daughter-in-law Irene, grand-children Ramona, Adam, Jeff (Crystal), great-grand-children Alexis, Reid, Jagger, Celestine, Fran's sister Rose and many nieces & nephews. Fran was predeceased by the love of her life Joe (1989) & son Jerry (2011).

Fran moved to Vancouver at 18 all alone from Saskatchewan. She couldn't believe how beautiful it was. She asked her parents and 6 siblings to move here and settled in Richmond 4 months later.

She met Joe in 1943, they were married in 1944 and started their family right away. They were hard working, had lots of family and friends, went dancing, played cards, travelled, had parties, laughed & cried. Their family was everything to them and they gave their children loving, happy lives.

Mom worked at Woodwards in Ladies Fashion then was promoted to the Fur Department until retirement.

We would like to thank the staff at Shannon Oaks where Mom called home for 17 years, Vancouver General Hospital and North Shore Hospice for their kindness in taking care of Mom.

Fran's family will be holding a private memorial. Please consider a donation to BC Cancer Foundation in her honour.
