

Born in Canton, China, Wai Han began a life journey that would span continents and generations. In 1960, she, her husband and their children moved to Brazil, where together they opened and operated a restaurant. The family immigrated to Vancouver in 1974 and opened a restaurant in New Westminster, where they worked side by side for many years until their retirement.
In her retirement, Wai Han embraced the simple joys of life. She loved singing and playing traditional Chinese instruments with her husband and friends in Chinatown. She cherished family vacations and especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survived by her children Elizabeth (Joe), Tom (Sinnie), Roger (Patsy), Jeannie (Cisco), Yara (Neil), William, grandchildren Juliana (Tommy), Jeffrey (Priscilla), Monique (Jae), Michelle (Collin), Timothy, Christopher (Lauryn), Eric (Shauneen), Stephanie (Derek), Meiwa (Douglas), Nick (Jessie), Kevin, Ashley, great-grandchildren Zoe (Dante), Joshua, Noah, Olivier, Chloe, Milo, Caleb, Chloe, Ethan, Noah, Jordan, Luna and Eliana, and grandpups Sophie, Lexi and Zena.
Wai Han will be remembered as a gentle and kind soul, always smiling and deeply devoted to her husband and children. She had a lifelong passion for music and fashion, and she brought warmth and grace to all who knew her. Her love for family leaves a lasting legacy that will be remembered by all whose lives she touched.
The memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday March 26th at Forest Lawn Funeral Chapel, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby. Arrangements entrusted to Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
