William (Bill) Bruce is predeceased by his parents Walter and Dorothy Bruce. He is survived by his sister Marilyn (Bert), his brother David (Pam), his children Bonnie, Doug, and Kara, his grandchildren Alexis, Mackenzie, and Kayla, and his great grandchildren Stefania, Nikolina, and Sasha.
His daughter Kara passed away just two days after his passing to be with him on his journey. May the two of them enjoy all that is offered by the heavens.
Bill had a distinguished career as a professional accountant. When he graduated from Richmond High School he began working for the City of Vancouver while obtaining his accounting designation. Once he received his designation he worked for Foremost Foods as their head accountant. He was very dedicated to his accounting association and spent many hours volunteering on the board as well as helping students with their homework. Then in the early 1980s he ventured out on his own to start his own public accounting firm. Due to his hard work and dedication to his customers of W Bruce & Associates Ltd. he was able to grow a successful public accounting firm that is alive and thriving today in his honor.
Bill loved to travel and spend time with his family. He went to tropical places and snorkeled to his heart's content. He went on trips with his family to Mexico, Florida, and Cuba. He went on trips with his staff: European cruise, Caribbean cruise, and Jamaica. He took camping trips to his favorite lake Shuswap almost every year. Joined several motorcycling groups and cruised all over Canada and the US. He went skiing and hiking at all the local mountains and swam across all the local lakes. He had the need for speed and always wanted to go as fast as possible.
Bill's legacy is one of dedication, hard work, and deep compassion to help others in the world around him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who have the privilege of knowing him.
