Survived by his loving wife, Dolores Palmer, and two sons from a previous marriage, Shane and wife Linda, Jason, wife Tammy and their children, Austin, Donovan, Jeremiah and Jasmine. William is also survived by his son Billy’s two children, Mercedes and Tristan. William was predeceased by his eldest son Billy and by his eldest sister Doris. He is survived by his loving sister Meryle and her husband Leo, and many nieces and nephew in BC and Alberta.
William went to school in Medicine Hat, Alberta and upon graduation went to college in Calgary, Alberta. He returned to Medicine Hat and worked for the Crystal Dairy for a number of years. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy January 5, 1960 and was Honourably discharged January 4, 1963. After completion of service he worked as a foreman for Canadian National Railway. In later years he worked for the Unite Church, Vancouver, BC as a maintenance man.
