With much sadness, we announce the passing of William A. [Bill] Marsh of Coquitlam B.C. at the age of 83 after a courageous battle with a blood infection. Bill grew up in Burnaby and was an active member in his community.
After graduating high school, Bill articled with Clarkson, Gordon, & Co. for six years and obtained his designation as a Chartered Accountant in 1964. For over fifty years, Bill worked and founded two accounting firms with his friends and family, including Marsh, Martin, Marsh, & Co, and Marsh & Marsh Inc.
Bill was devoted to his God and was an active member of First Baptist Church. He served in many roles in the church, including Moderator and Treasurer.
In his spare time, Bill enjoyed travelling around the world, watching Canucks and Lions games, and collecting frog-themed items. He was a family man who enjoyed spending many days at the cottage. He was a “doer” who thoughtfully accomplished many tasks, with a hint of mischievousness and humor.
He is survived by his wife Verena, his children and their spouses, Bill Jr. [Kim], Janice [Kevin], Katherine, and Richard, and his six grandchildren, Rachel, Josh, Liam, Ainsley, Caleb, and Tanner. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Dorothy, and his twin brother Ken. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
