

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bill Taylor. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, June, daughters, Linda (Danny), Susan (Mitch), Diane (Scott) and son Bill (Theresa), grandchildren, Jason, Cory, Charlene, Adam, Will and Nick and great-granddaughter Taylor, step-sister Pat Reynolds (Don) and brother-in-law Nick. He was predeceased by his sister Joyce. Born in Shell Lake, Saskatchewan Bill came to the West Coast at the age of 16. He completed an Electrical Apprenticeship before obtaining his Electrical Engineering degree at UBC in 1957. He started his career with Ashcroft Electric in 1947 and retired in 1992 as President of Canem Systems. Bill was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing, curling, hockey, skiing, water-skiing and boating. Bill spent his retirement golfing, traveling the world and volunteering for the B.C. Cancer Foundation. Bill created a rich life full of memories his family and friends will always treasure. Private interment at Masonic Cemetery.A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday January 19th, at the Vancouver Golf Club, 771 Austin Ave., Coquitlam. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation or charity of your choice in Bill's memory.
