With great sadness, Yuk Ling Chow (nee Leung), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 6, 2019. Born on November 11, 1942, she was predeceased by her father, Wai Sum, mother, Shuet Fun, and sisters, Yu Zhou and Man Ling. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 52 years, Ka Long, her daughters: Maggie, Peggy, Grace (Brian), granddaughter, Kaitlyn, brother, Thomas (Cecilia), and many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted wife, mother, Po Po, and sister and nothing meant more to her than her family. She will be forever in our hearts.

I am so sorry to hear that Yuk Ling passed away. I was another person who got to dance with her through the All Bodies Dance Project. I very much remember the first day I met her and we had such fun dancing together. She was brave, warm and so open to a new group of people and a new experience — we had a great time together. I was also very touched when Yuk Ling’s clearly very proud family came to watch our final class do a mini performance. I have no doubt that she was adored and will be dearly missed. I am thinking of her family and of how grateful I am to have met her.

I am saddened to hear this news, and my heart goes out to the many people who loved Yuk Ling Chow. I was lucky enough to dance with her at Sunset Community Centre as part of the All Bodies Dance Project. Everyone in the class was enriched by her open, creative, and collaborative spirit. What a wonderful, warm-hearted presence she brought to our dance! It is really lovely to hear that the family is collecting donations to All Bodies Dance in her honour, and that she enjoyed dancing with us as much as we enjoyed dancing with her. I will be happy to make a donation in her memory.
