Yuk Ping Rebecca Yip

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rebecca Yuk Ping Yip on July 26, 2024, at the age of 81. Rebecca was born on November 7, 1942 in Hong Kong China, to Yip Ping Fong and Lo Yin Chong.

Rebecca was known for her unwavering determination, strong will and her loving support and commitment to her family.

Rebecca’s nursing career began in Hong Kong spanning over 3 decades, where she started as a Nurse Officer and was promoted to Senior Nurse Officer and Instructor at numerous Hong Kong hospitals. As a life long learner, Rebecca continued her education in Australia, UK and China. Obtaining additional certification in midwifery, nursing administration, librarianship and psychiatric nursing.

In 1997, although Rebecca retired from nursing and moved to Vancouver Canada, she remained active throughout her retirement years, volunteering at S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Canada and the Hong Kong Nurses Association of BC. In her leisure time, Rebecca enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Rebecca is survived by her children, Hedwig and Herbert; her grandchildren Michael, Grace, Megan and Hayden.
