It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ellen Yuk Sheung Yee. She was predeceased by her husband, George Fat Kaing. She is survived by her children Laara, Jenny, Susan (Howard), Stephen (Mimi), and Jerry (Laurie); her grandchildren Douglas (Jessica), Andrea, Alison (Bryden), Nicole (Mike), Jamie, Ryan, Andy, and Leah (Joe); and great- grandchildren Chloe, Nina and Tavin. Our mother immigrated to Canada in 1959. She worked as a seamstress and later with our father in their business. After retirement, both played a leadership role at the Yee Fung Toy Society in Chinatown. Both were also very active in ballroom dancing and were champions in a cha-cha competition. After my father passed, she travelled and continued to be active at the Chinese Presbyterian Church and the Roundhouse Community Centre. Her Funeral will be held at the Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 10 a.m.
