Dec. 8, 1923 – Jan. 13, 2015
A beloved wife and mother, Yvonne passed away at Lynn Valley Care Center, North Vancouver, in her 92nd year. She leaves her dear husband of over 72 years, Lucien. He loved and cherished her and now he misses her terribly. Their favourite song was “I’ll Be With You In Apple Blossom Time”. Her son Ronald (Bette) lives in Halifax but was with her at the end. She also leaves behind her two grandsons, Charles (in Hong Kong), and Marc (in Halifax), and one great granddaughter named Penny, who was just born, in Hong Kong. Yvonne had one surviving brother, Arthur Belisle, in Winnipeg. She has many nieces and nephews left to mourn her passing. She was a member of the C.W.L. for over 30 years and was very devoted to her church. She helped many immigrant families get settled in this new country. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, January 23, 2015, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 1360 East 24th Street, North Vancouver, B.C. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Red Cross.
