In high school Don was a drummer in a rock band and in 1966 The Yardbirds came to Tucson, AZ for a concert tour and Don was asked on stage and played 2 songs with them.
Don enlisted in the Army May 21, 1968, he was sent to Korea and served in the Vietnam War, and got out May 13, 1971. He was a batch man for Argos Southern Star Concrete until he retired.
Don was extremely proud to serve as Quarter Master of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7843 of Duncanville from 2016-present. Don married Lisa Chandler May 13, 2006 and enjoyed traveling, vacations and hanging out with his friends at the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Don was well known for his smoked meat and barbequing talents.
He and Lisa were members of Grace Fellowship Church in Grand Prairie and served as an usher and door greeter.
Don enjoyed spending time with his son Eric and grandsons Gavin and Mason. Don also enjoyed spending time with his fur babies Gidget, Joy and Grace.
Visitation is Wednesday August 28, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. Graveside services are Thursday August 29, 2019 at Singleton Cemetery at 10:00 am.

Don is survived by his wife of 13 years Lisa, sons Eric and Noland Singleton, grandsons Gavin and Mason Singleton, sister Mackie Hollis, brother Eddie Singleton and Aunt Lillie Faye Hopkins and Gidget, Joy and Grace and numerous nieces, nephews and friends and family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.
