Adam Reeder

Adam Lane Reeder was born on November 10, 1966, in Kingsville, Texas. His parents were William Ralph (Buddy) and Judith Hogan Reeder, and his siblings were Laura Reeder Rathbun, William Paul Reeder and Lisa Ann Reeder. Adam lived in Bishop, Texas for 6 years and then moved to Spring, Texas and then to Tomball, Texas where he lived until 1985.

Adam attended college at Abilene Christian University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology. He went to Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, where through a graduate assistantship, he earned a Master's degree in Technology Education.

Adam was married on May 21, 1994, to Jamie Lynn Burkett, and they were totally devoted to each other for 32 years. Their family was complete with the birth of their daughter Samantha Grace Reeder in 2012. They lived in Friendswood, Texas and Spring, Texas, suburbs of Houston, for 23 years. The Reeder family moved to Willow Park, Texas in 2017 and Burnet in 2020.

Adam worked in Quality, Customer Service, Pricing and Contracts for several different companies over the course of his career: UCS, Baker-Hughes, Parker-Hannifin and Boeing, and he was so proud of the work he did! He loved to play guitar, listen to music, and work on old cars and pickups. He delighted in sharing funny videos, telling jokes and making people laugh. Adam loved watching his daughter grow; she was the light of his life. He enjoyed watching her cheer at football games, playing basketball, and most of all, teasing and having fun with her. Adam lived his life in the full assurance of his eternal salvation and relationship with Jesus Christ. He was willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help and never expected anything in return. Adam was a devoted husband, father, brother, brother-in-Christ and friend.

Adam is survived by wife Jamie and daughter Samantha Reeder; mother-in-law Billie Burkett Miller; sister Laura and Chuck Rathbun; brother Paul and Evelyn Reeder, nephew Taylor and Rachel Rathbun; nephew Mason Rathbun; niece Abbi and Trenton Duncan; niece Rachel Reeder, great-niece Mackenzie Rathbun, great-nephew Colt Duncan and many other family and friends. Adam was preceded in death by his parents Buddy and Judy Reeder and sister Lisa Ann Reeder.

Adam walked into the arms of Jesus on September 8, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Vanderveer Street Church of Christ on September 19, 2026, at 2:00 pm Burial will be immediately following the service at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa, Texas.
