May 5, 2016March 14, 2020

Avery Alice Guzman-Mendez was born May 5, 2016 in Austin, TX and on March 14, 2020, she went to be with our Heavenly Father. Avery was born at 3 lbs.; she came home with her adoptive moms Judy Torres and Brenda Mendez from Burnet, TX. She was welcomed home by her brothers Gabriel Torres and Aiden Guzman-Mendez and her sister Aubree Guzman-Mendez, all of Burnet, TX. Avery was very intellectual beyond her years. She knew the alphabet, could count to 10, and identify shapes and colors by sight by age 2. She loved to play outside and being around water. Avery’s favorite song was “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and her favorite color was yellow. Avery attended Shady Grove Elementary School and Bluebonnet Country Pre-School. Avery touched so many lives with her love and laughter, she had so much love to give and was loved by so many. Avery, Momma loves you so much, the day you came home we knew we would love you like no other. As you grew, we knew you would do something great with your life. No words can express how broken we are without you here, how much we miss your beautiful little face, your contagious laughter and your loving spirit. You were our world, our everything, our baby. We may never understand why you had to leave us so young, but we know you will always live on in our hearts and that others got to live on because of you. We will always love you our sunshine. Love your mommas, Brenda and Judy Care has been entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. Condolences may be offered at www.clementswilcoxburnet.com

Avery was such a joy at school. She was one of my favorite kiddos. She had no fear and I had to make sure she wouldn't try to jump off tall things, but she enjoyed lots of activities and was a delight to work with. I will miss her and will be thinking of your family in this trying time.
