Barbara Kay Jordy

Barbara Kay Robertson Jordy, known as Kay, was born September 6, 1944 in Austin, TX to Wyatt Robertson and Lola Nell Chailette. The good Lord called her home on March 16, 2025 after a brief illness. Kay was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loyal friend to many. She loved music (especially Elvis), dancing, people, hosting family gatherings in her home, traveling and volunteering. Kay was a business owner and ran her own car care business for the past 35+ years and a dedicated volunteer at Operation Liberty Hill for many years.

Kay was preceded in death by her late husband, Larry Abernathy, father Wyatt, mother Nell, brother Charles Robertson and sister Dorothea Piper. Kay is survived by daughter Sabrina Jordan & husband Rick, son Cliff Whitt & wife Kim and son Thomas Whitt. Six grandchildren-Shannon Ponton (Brian), Lance Jordan (Emily), Phillip Jordan (Myra), Brittney Baladez, Zach Whitt (Hailey) and Shaye Whitt (Alex) and 8 great grandchildren.

Although she will be greatly missed here on this earth, we know she is reunited with her family and dancing in heaven.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 E. Polk St, Burnet, TX 78611 on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Graveside service will be on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
