Barbara Wilson

She was born May 1, 1926, in Whitesboro, Texas to Herbert and Jacqueline Scott. After Barbara raised three children, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Central Texas College. She worked throughout the 1970s and 1980s at various psychiatric nursing facilities in the Austin area. She took a position at Meridell Achievement Center in Liberty Hill where she worked until her retirement in 2006. In addition to her nursing career, Barbara had a successful business in Burnet.

Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, gardening and painting. Friends of the family describe Baba as a "truly, gracious Southern woman".

She is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Wilson Wukasch and her husband Jim Wukasch of Burnet, Mary Elizabeth Wilson Hodge of Houston and Andrea Boothe Wilson of Burnet. She also had three grandchildren who brought great joy to her later years, Tristian Wilson, Averi Wukasch and Paige Wukasch.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 11 am at Highland Lakes United Methodist Church, Buchanan Dam, Texas.
