Bette B. Berry was born in Houston, Texas on December 7, 1932, to parents Harold and Opal Bauer. She passed away August 29, 2015. Bette graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1950 and married her high school sweetheart, Jim Berry December 12, 1953.
Bette was a career woman with a great business mind. In her early years, she did book keeping and office management but, her true passion was real estate. She and Jim owned their own real estate business in Houston which they sold when they moved to Burnet in 1979 and opened another real estate business. Bette and Jim moved to Horseshoe Bay and Bette joined Horseshoe Bay Corp. She considered her clients and co-workers as her second family. Bette was a very hard-working, dedicated and successful real estate broker.
Most of Bette’s time was spent doing real estate. However, she enjoyed dressing up in costumes (the crazier the better), listening to Jim sing, spending time with her dogs Bud and Holly and of course spending time with family.
Bette was preceded in death by: her husband Jim Berry, parents Harold and Opal Bauer, and Grandson Hunter Colvin.
She is survived by: daughter Susan Colvin and husband Drew; son Steve Berry and wife Nancy; Grandchildren James Berry, Mandy Seery and husband Shane, David Berry, Christina Hallmark and husband Richard; Tammy Foster and husband Jonathan and Great-Grandchildren Parker Seery, Kaylee Hallmark and Colton Hallmark.
Bette will be greatly missed by her co-workers, clients, friends and family.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening September 1, 2015 from 5 to 7. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday morning September 2nd at 11. Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
