Bette Jane Diehl Foster

She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Evan Foster and her two sons, Michael Stephen Foster and Robert Evan Foster.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Foster Mills (Fernando Orona), her grandsons Jacob Shaw Mills, Evan Gregory Foster (Angelea), step-grandson Nathaniel Orona, and great-grandson, Evan Caldwell Foster. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who knew her as Aunt B, as well as many dear friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

Bette and Claude lived and raised their children in Dallas and Houston, Texas. They retired to the Hill Country in 1980 and made their home in Buena Vista on Inks Lake. Both Bette and Claude were past presidents of the Home Owners Association and instrumental in its organization. Their home was a focal point for many memorable gatherings over the years with family and friends.

In 2012 Bette moved to Windchime Assisted Living in Kingsland, Texas where she joined several of her Buena Vista neighbors and also made many new friends. She loved the activities and camaraderie of residents, staff and administration. The family wishes to thank each and every one at Windchime for their loving care of Bette during her residence there.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at the Clements Wilcox Funeral Home on Highway 29 in Burnet, Texas. Visitation will be 6-8:00 PM Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014
