Bobby Fritz Bostic, age 82 of Lampasas and formerly of Burnet passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, from complications of Parkinson’s. He was born October 7, 1938, in Burnet to Fritz and Opal McDaniel Bostic.
Bob is remembered by his family as first being a Christian, raised in a Christian home. Those same values and influence he passed on to his family and Church.
Bob was a 1956 graduate of Bertram High School and later attended Southwestern University in Georgetown. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating on Lake Buchanan and Inks with his wife and kids by his side.
Bob’s career with LCRA spanned 34 years. From working his way up he eventually retired as Superintendent of all Hydro Dams and operations all along the Colorado River. During his time with LCRA he also served on the LCRA Credit Union Board of Directors, first as Treasurer and then President.
After his retirement from LCRA Bob was able to focus his full attention on ranching, that he loved so much. He took great pride in his land and cattle and was a good steward who taught by example.
Bob was a faithful member of the Church of Christ where he worshiped and volunteered his time tending to the grounds and maintenance of the church vehicles.
He was a quiet man of few words. He and Jo fell in love young and created a wonderful life together. He loved his family deeply and they loved him.
Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years Jo Baker Bostic, daughter Cindy Hert and husband Craig, son Todd Bostic and wife Rita. Also surviving are grandchildren Gable Bostic and wife Claire, Calen Bostic and wife Jodi, Emily Hanson and husband Matt, Chris Bostic and wife Dana, CJ Bostic, John Hert and wife Paige. Great grandchildren surviving are Camden, Lila, Carter, Corbin, Riley, Ellie, and JW. He is survived by his sister Barbara Boycks. Bob is also remembered by many cherished family members and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob’s funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 8th in the Chapel of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home with Minister Tim Denton officiating. Interment will follow at Oatmeal Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews and cousins.
