Charles Jacob Buckelew

Charles Jacob Buckelew, age 90, of Burnet, Texas passed away on August 10, 2010. He was born on June 28, 1920 in Columbus, Texas. He was the son of John William Buckelew and Ella Baker. Charles was a member of the First Baptist church in Bertram, Texas. He enjoyed ranching and playing 42 with his family and friends. He enjoyed his exotic birds.

He is survived by his wife Janis Buckelew of Burnet, three children Dean and wife Coleen Buckelew of Burnet, Kelley and wife Linda Buckelew of Houston, and daughter Kathy Linder of Burnet. Grandchildren Kristy Brumley, Scott and Jennifer Buckelew, Rebecca Prier, John and Rachel Jansen, and Sean and Sara Linder. Great grandchildren Khyrstyn, Megan, Shayla, Colton, Dusty, Kylie, Heston, Hannah, and Michael. Preceded in death by his mother and father and one brother Eugene Buckelew and two sons Gary Buckelew and Kevin Collins and one daughter Stephanie Buckelew.

Pallbearers will be John Michael Jansen, Sean Edward Linder, Scott Buckelew, Leonard McCormick, and Jason and Justin Perez. Honorary will be Tim Christiansen, and Men of the International Ministerial Institute.

Visitation will be at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, Thursday, 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday at the Clements-Wilcox Chapel in Burnet at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Mike Davis and Gordon Bergstrom.
