

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Wanda Coffey, a sister Joyce Sellars, his brother Michael (Mike) Sellars and son Thomas (Tommy) Cox.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Connie Longfellow Sellars of 54 years. They were married in Clovis, New Mexico on June 23, 1971.
Chris is lovingly remembered by his son, Richard (Rick) and Donna Cox of Burnett, Texas, son Donald (Don) and Su-Zan Sellars of Granbury, Texas, and daughter Crystal (Crystie) and Alton Sutter of Bertram, Texas. Grandchildren Josh Ragsdale and Kari of Collierville, TN, Ashley Burr of Brasstown, North Carolina, Terah Clifton of Dallas, Texas, Brandon Sutter of Azle, Texas, Ryan Sutter of Bertram, Texas and Lauren Sutter of Jerrell, Texas and 12 great grandchildren.
Chris was born in Knott, Texas on August 11, 1932 to Christal Coleman and Dale Marie (Cumbie) Sellars. He graduated from Snyder High School. Chris was an Army Veteran, Honorably Discharged in 1955 as Master Sergeant. Chris worked early on in his life farming and ranching along with working in the oil field. He later became a remarkable custom home builder.
Chris’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, golfing, reading books, and wood working. He was a profound woodworker, even owning a very successful cabinetry business. He won several golf tournaments but his favorite of all his hobbies was fishing. He loved to put the hook in the water and see what he could catch. Often accompanied by his family. They spent many hours by the lake side.
Chris grew up farming and ranching as a kid molding him into the cowboy he was always known for. The family has chosen to have a private ceremony to honor Chris’s life, as the cowboy rides away.
