Clarice Barrow

Clarice Barrow, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at the Bertram Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 20, 1929, in Smithwick, Texas to Walter and Hattie (Rosenbusch) Foss. She married Leslie Barrow on September 27, 1947 in Burnet, Texas. They raised their son and three daughters in Bertram, Texas. Nothing thrilled Clarice more than spending time with family. She always had plenty of food on the table for big Sunday lunches. If you were new to the Sunday meals, she would welcome you and make you feel like part of the family. Clarice was definitely an animal lover and treated her dogs like family members. She often spent her spare time sitting on the lawn feeding the birds. She loved cardinals and always had her bird feeders stocked with food for them. During family gatherings she enjoyed playing various card games (which she usually won). She had a true giving spirit and would do anything for those in need.

Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Barrow; her son, James Barrow; and great-grandson, Justin Walton.

Clarice is survived by her daughters: Marie and husband Greg Brown, Betty and husband Royce Wilkerson,daughter-in-law Marsha Barrow and Julia and husband Leon Bonin; grandchildren: Bridgette Walton; Shey Smith; Julie Brown; Keith, Dustin, Blake and Nathaniel Barrow; Paige Nelms; Chuck Cameron; and Shawna Wilkerson; great-grandchildren: Trey Welch; James Walton; Josh and Mya Hill; Summer Smith; Kris and Katelyn Brown; Lane and Stockton Nelms; Emerson Barrow; Padric and Agatha Barrow; Colsen, Ayden, Braylen, and Brynlyn Barrow, Crislyn Barrow, and Damian Starling.
