Bubba was born in Eldorado, Texas on August 19, 1934. Following graduation from Big Spring High School, Bubba spent four years serving in the US Air Force. Stationed at Nouasseur Air base near Casablanca in Morocco, Bubba often spoke with fondness about his time in the military and how it afforded him the opportunity to travel and see the world.
He then spent several years as a machinist at UT Austin after which he owned and operated several gas stations in Austin. He also owned his own air conditioning company following which he worked as a sales representative for John Deere with emphasis on heavy equipment.
In 1998 he married Charlotte Wall and moved to Burnet, TX where he spent many of the happiest years of his life. There he spent 18 years at the Horseshoe Bay golf course where he greatly enjoyed working as a starter.
Bubba was a passionate gun collector and an exceptional gun smith; he was a lifetime member of the NRA. Bubba was a fan of classic boats and enjoyed boating, being outdoors, hunting and fishing. Most of all Bubba loved spending time with his family. He spent many years coaching little league for his sons and cheering on the sidelines for his grandkids. Bubba never met a stranger and always had a joke to tell. He was loved deeply by all of his friends and family.
Bubba is survived by his wife Charlotte Wall Alexander, son Thomas Henery Alexander, stepson Greg Ashabranner (Karla), Stepdaughter Terri Lehner (Mike), grandchildren; Kayla Davis (Riley), Jake Lehner, Matt Lehner, Garret Ashabranner, Carson Alexander, Catherine (Caty) Alexander, great granddaughter Maia Davis, and nieces Julie Alexander and Janice Alexander.
