Dale T. Shanks

He was born on August 31, 1934, in Illinois to Everett and Mary Shanks.

Dale proudly served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Fort Hood Texas and Germany.

Dale was an incredible son, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. He was a soft-spoken man with a mountain of wisdom and stories that he passed down to his family. He never missed an opportunity to teach his grandkids what it means to work hard for what and who you love.

Dale is preceded in death by his father Everette, mother Mary, sister Dorothy, and brother Gene.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Roean, brother Leo; children, Mark Shanks, Michael Shanks, Laura Newton and Steven Shanks; grand-children, Andrea Yen, Christopher Shanks, Sarah Newton, Matthew Shanks, Thomas Shanks, Annette Warnica, Levi Newton, Erin Pack, Kathryne Shanks, and Stephanie Collins; as well as his seven great-grandchildren, Parker Shanks, Cadence Shanks, Noah Yen, Oliva Warnica, Isaac Yen, Landry Pack and Jacob Warnica.

A visitation will be held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet for Dale on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be at Clements-Wilcox Chapel on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park following the service.
