Dick Parker was my cousin. He was that one, special cousin that I hope most people are lucky enough to have. He was the one that everyone wanted to be around. Growing up, our Martin family vacations were always spent in West Texas with that branch of the family, with time split between time in town and two ranches. No matter where we were, my siblings, Melissa, Biddy and I always wanted to spend as much time as possible being wherever Dick was, doing whatever Dick was doing. And that trend continued into adulthood. I and my siblings have so many wonderful memories of Dick and we are so very thankful for that blessing!

This has been such a heart wrenching time for us. We three are so very devastated that we could not attend his memorial this weekend, due to circumstances beyond our control. I can’t imagine the pain that BethAnn and his girls are going through.

BethAnn, Melissa stated much of the same in her email to you, in a much better way than I have been able to here. Please know that as she spoke for all three of us, I do as well. We love you all and are there with you in our hearts. Dick was a wonderful, loving man and will be so missed by so many!

I am saddened to hear of Mr. Parker's passing. Dick was a great guy both as a friend and as a former employer. I have lots of good memories of visiting with Mr. Parker long days of working with Mr. Parker and even get in in after a long afternoon and having a cold beer with Mr. Parker. I so wish I could attend the memorial service but I am unable to due to work schedule. I send my condolences to Beth and the rest of the Parker family and hope that they find peace and joy knowing that Mr. Parker was a great man. It was both an honor and a pleasure knowing Dick Parker and I wish the best for the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. He was always such a happy guy! My heart breaks for Beth and the children and grandchildren. When he and Beth first went into the septic tank business they were so accommodating for my husband and I (we are installers) ! I cannot imagine our world without him. 😢

Dickie was one of my most favorite people to be around in the world. It was always a great time to visit him. Whether we went fishing, shooting skeet or simply ride around the ranch in his buggy. The world is a bit more empty with him gone. But the memories I have of him will last a lifetime. My heart goes out to Beth Ann and the girls. Love you guys.
I miss you Dickie

Dick was my cousin and when we were growing up my family would go and spend a couple of weeks each summer and what fun we had! We rode horses, rounded up cattle, had bonfires, swam in the creek and all sorts of fun things! I know he is with his mom, dad, and other family members gone long before him. RIP cuz!!

Dick never met a stranger & had a way of making everyone feel welcome. He was like a second dad and a sounding board for a lot of people to work through life’s tribulations. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for a long time.
