

LaDean Milliorn Smith, commonly known as Deanie, fulfilled her earthly life of 92 years and began her eternal life in Heaven on July 12, 2026. She was born on May 19, 1934 in Llano, Texas. As a young girl, she gave her life to Christ and was baptized at First Baptist Church Llano.
Deanie graduated from Llano High School in 1953. She was working as a telephone operator in Llano where she met J.C., who was also working for the telephone company. They were married on March 10, 1956 and recently celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary.
Deanie was well known for her cooking skills, most notably her cream style corn and pecan pies. She spent countless hours sewing, needle working and crafting for her enjoyment and gifting her work to others. Her adult life was filled with service to her community, friends and family. In 1956, Deanie became a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International, and derived life-long friendships engaging in service projects for community and national programs.
She served as an Elder of Burnet Presbyterian Church along with her husband; they were the longest current members, joining in 1962.
After raising her children, Deanie worked various jobs in Bertram and Burnet eventually retiring from the Burnet County Clerk’s Office in 1996.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ovil D Milliorn and Ruby Odessa Garrett, stepfather Eugene C. Honeycutt, stepmother Maudie Laverne “Totsie” Murchison, brothers Loman D “Bud” Milliorn and Bryan D Milliorn, and sister Beverly Milliorn Haynes.
Survivors include her husband James Carter “J.C.” Smith, daughter Tamra Gray (Robert), son Cart Smith (Kim); grandchildren Byron Gray (Ashley), Jed Gray (Sage), Haley Humphrey (Ryan), Cal Smith, and Jacey Smith; great-grandchildren include Baylee, Saydee, Laynee, Kaydee, Cole, Brooks and Hayes. Additional survivors include sisters Linda McBride (Dan) and Barbara Williamson (Ben), sisters-in-law Ann Milliorn and Nita Milliorn, brother-in-law Glenn Smith and countless cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 16th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be Friday, July 17th, 10:00 AM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Dee Milliorn, Maury Milliorn, Evan Milliorn, Clifton Myers, Walter J. Milliorn, Joe Kendrick, Bryan Wilson, and Earl Brown.
