Denzal Owens

Denzal married June Baxter on July 12, 1968. He was in the US Coast Guard and served in the US Army attaining the rank of Sgt. First Class. He retired ALCOA in 1983 after 30 years of service. Denzal was a member of the Rockdale Roping & Cutting Club and Church of Christ Oaks West.

He is survived by his wife June, daughters Linda Yakesch and Kay Stork; brothers Alfred “Punk” Owens of and Vaughn “Pud” Owens. Denzal is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Denzal is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bob Owens and Charlie Owens, and sisters Kirby Wright and LaVerne Hall.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday May 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, Texas with Clay Redding officiating. Pallbearers are Russell Yakesch, Doug Yakesch, Gary Yakesch, Denzal Wright, Todd Johnson, and Doug Crane. Honorary Pallbearers are Ralph Martin, Randell Vanaman, Ted Baker and Jimmie Johnson, interment to follow at Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet, Texas.

Arrangements were made by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, Texas.
