Domingo Rodriguez Sr.

Domingo G. Rodriguez was born in Bishop, Texas, where his life's journey began. As a young man, he traveled to Utah, where he met the love of his life, Guadalupe Gonzales. Their relationship blossomed into a lifelong partnership, and they were married on September 27, 1965, in Brigham City, Utah. It was there that their first son, Domingo Jr. ("Sonny"), was born. In 1967.

After their marriage, Domingo and Guadalupe began building their family in Mission, Texas., the family then moved back to Brigham City, Utah, where they established their home and continued growing their family. Their second son Miro was born in Brigham City in 1970.

Domingo was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent more than 30 years working for Thiokol Corporation in the Flares Department. Through his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family, he earned the respect of his coworkers and those who knew him. After a long and successful career, he retired from Thiokol and looked forward to spending more time with his loved ones.

One of the most significant moments in Domingo's life came around 1989, when he gave his life to Jesus Christ. After accepting Christ as his Savior, he was baptized and became deeply involved in his church community. His faith became the cornerstone of his life, guiding his decisions and inspiring those around him.

Domingo expressed his love for God through music and ministry. He was a member of a church band alongside Antonio Hernandez and Joe Garza, faithfully using his talents to worship and serve. His dedication and spiritual leadership were recognized by his congregation, and he was prayed over and appointed as the pastor of their small church in Brigham City. He faithfully ministered to others, sharing the love of Christ and encouraging people in their walk of faith.

Following his retirement, Domingo returned to Texas, where he enjoyed spending precious time with his sons, grandchildren, and family. Those years were filled with the joy of being surrounded by the people he loved most.

Domingo will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, faithful servant of God, dedicated worker, musician, pastor, and friend. His life was a testimony of hard work, unwavering faith, and deep love for his family. The legacy he leaves behind lives on through the lives he touched, the faith he shared, and the family he cherished.

A Funeral Service at Jesucristo La Roca Viva will be held at Jesus Cristo La Roca Viva Church, 656 Park Rd 4, Burnet, TX 78611, US, on September 24, 2026 at 10:00 am, followed by Burial at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, 4219 Park Rd 4 S, Burnet, TX 78611, US, on September 24, 2026.
