OBITUARY
Donald Thorp
July 2, 1949 – November 14, 2019
Preceded in death by his beloved parents and recently his older brother, Donald Owen Thorp passed away November 14, 2019.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Lonell Roach Thorp, daughters Tasha (Paul) Fitzgibbons and Amber (Donnie) Dittrich and grandchildren Drake Fitzgibbons and Paige Dittrich.
Never have still waters run deeper.
Quiet of nature and gentle of spirit, his life was an example of utter devotion to his family, a boundless love of learning, and an unparalleled patience.
His grandchildren filled his heart entirely. Their time together on projects, games, chats, laughing, and traveling was his greatest joy.
May all who knew him be comforted by many happy memories, and may we all honor his life through own our actions.
In lieu of flowers, nothing would please him more than to have us each undertake these challenges:
-Take time to listen and hear -Look for common ground -Marvel at the majesty of the simplest things: morning dew on a spider web, a breathtaking sunset, loved ones around the table, belly laughs, a good book, the grace of a tree -Respect, protect, and learn from children -Get outside and keep moving -Be forgiving of others -Count your blessings then find a way to share them
Silver wings shining in the sunlight, our love for you goes on.
*A celebration of life will be held this summer.
Care has been entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.

Tasha and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. I know how important he was to you Tasha. I hope you, your sister, your mother, and all of his grandchildren remember him fondly. I like to think our loved ones and friends look over us from heaven. May he make sure you are all safe and protected as he serves as a guardian angel for all of you. You will not forget him because it is hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember.
Love,
