Glenn Doyle Hopkins, age 78 of Burnet, passed away May 11, 2013. He was born June 21, 1934, in Burnet to Clyde C. Hopkins and Opal Schafer Hopkins. He worked for many years as a fence building contractor and enjoyed playing dominos and telling stories.
He is survived by his daughter Shirley Ann Hickman and husband Willie of Burnet, sons Darrell Glenn Hopkins, Randy Dene Hopkins, and Jimmy Doyle Hopkins, all of Burnet; brothers Kenneth Hopkins and Curtis Hopkins both of Burnet, and sister Guen Hullum of Georgetown. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Charlotte, and two brothers.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May, 15, 2013, at Post Mountain Cemetery.
