It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of Drusilla Rogers' passing on March 8th, 2025, at the age of 75, in Bertram, Texas. Her unwavering faith as a longtime member of the Bertram Church of Christ was a testament to her character.
She was married to Jimmy Rogers for 55 years and together, they raised two sons, Gaeron and Ethan, instilling in them the values of family and hard work. She was a fiercely devoted mother who dedicated herself completely to her sons and always said she would have been happy with a house full of boys. Her passion extended beyond motherhood to a successful career in nursing. She served the Hill Country community as a Home Health Nurse, Director of Nursing at several facilities, and finally a Charge Nurse at the Wesleyan in Georgetown, touching countless lives along the way.
To her grandchildren, she was affectionately known as "Scilla", and she cherished every moment spent creating lasting memories with them. From camping adventures, shopping trips to attending sporting events, or, most especially, enjoying the beach- her beloved "Island Time".
Preceded in death by her parents, Ed & Agnes Browning and her son, Ethan, Drusilla is survived by her her husband Jim; her son and daughter-in-law, Gaeron and Charla, seven grandchildren; and two great grand-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 13th from 6-8 PM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. Funeral services will follow on Friday, March 14th at 10:00 AM at the Bertram Church of Christ, with Graveside Services at Bear Creek Cemetery.
