

Eddie Paul Edwards was born on November 25, 1925, in Johnson County North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father Eddie Paul Edwards Sr. and Mother Maggie Mae Collier Edwards, brothers Walter,William,Charles and Bob and sisters Elizabeth, Margaret and Helen. He is survived by nephew and niece Glen and Sherry Edwards of Hampton, Virginia along with many friends and neighbors.
Eddie lived in North Carolina until he joined the Army in 1944; he served in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam. Eddie retired from the Army after 25 year at the rank of Command Sargent Major, the highest rank for a non-commissioned officer. After retirement Eddie went to work for Texas Blood and Tissue and bought his home in Council Creek where he resided until his death.
Eddie loved to fish and always had a beautiful garden and loved all that he grew.
The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. The funeral service with military honors will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 13, 2015, at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. Interment will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery in Killeen.
