Joyce “Elaine” Livingston Gray, 70, of Burnet passed peacefully on to her eternal home after a long battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis “IPF” on Friday, February 4, 2022, at a hospital in Austin.
Elaine loved uniquely but loved unconditionally. She always had her dreams, aspirations, as well as a need for trying to do new things. No matter the struggles she encountered, she continued to maintain hope that she would achieve those dreams and aspirations. One of those dreams was to run her own resale shop. She was elated when she and Jen had their resale shop in Burnet. She always loved talking to anyone who would listen about the unique findings they had for the shop and loved to come up there to "work".
Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her mother Helen, her daddy Dave, as well as her brothers David “Buddy" Livingston and Stoney Livingston.
She is survived by her cat Sylvester, daughters Susan Jeffrey, April, husband Chris Metcalf, Cheryl Karichko, baby Jen, and husband Michael St. Cricq. She had 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren as well as a new great grandbaby girl due in April. Elaine is also survived by her sisters Ann Heard, Marva and David Hurst, Mae Livingston, and Susie and Dennis Stevens, brother Gary Livingston, along with numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Visitation will be on Wednesday February 9, 2022 at 10:00 am, the funeral service will be at 11:00 am both at the Main Street Baptist Church in Burnet. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery in Burnet immediately following the services. The family does ask that you try to wear something green to the services as that was always Elaine's favorite color and the color, which supported her beloved Burnet Bulldogs.
