Ernestine Luevano Martinez

Ernestine married Jesse P. Martinez on May 27,1955 and together they had 8 children; John L. Martinez (Sandy), Jesse L. Martinez (Angie), Roxanna Ornelas (Adrian), Bea Tumlinosn, Robert L. Martinez, Jimmy Martinez and Margie Martinez Carr (Richard).

Ernestine loved crocheting and gardening. She enjoyed fishing outings with her husband and family. But most of all, she loved to dance in her home.

Tina lived her last years at the Oaks Nursing Home in Burnet and for the last 6 months at Bertram Nursing Home. She loved playing bingo each week, and she claimed to have won the million dollars! The family would like to thank each facility and staff members for the care that they gave to Tina.

Ernestine is preceded in death by her parents and one son Raymond Martinez.

She is survived by her 8 children, 22 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren. Let us not forget her longtime companion chihuahua and her cat.

Tina, our beloved mother, will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 17, 2026, at 12:00pm at the First Methodist Church in Burnet.
