Keeping Steve, Jann & Jill in my heart this weekend as you say farewell to your wonderful mother. Her face turns up in all my childhood memories of Burnet: at school, at church, and many other places. It was an honor to know her, and I'm glad you were able to share so many years of life with Evelyn.

Steve, Jann and Gary, and Jill - My brother, Donnie, and I send you our heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Burnet has lost another treasure. I will remember Evelyn's smile, her patience in trying to teach me piano for 8 years, her fun as a mom to Steve's, Jann's and Jill's friends growing up, and her friendship to our family. Evelyn was most positive person in the world. She was my mentor my first years teaching at Burnet Elementary and became a dear friend. Evelyn should hold the title as one of Burnet’s greatest ambassadors. I will miss taking her to lunch.

I have no memories of Mrs. Sandner without a smile on her face. She was always so positive and kind to everyone. I loved how she taught her special students at Burnet Elementary--her patience with them and love for them was endless--that impressed me even when I was a child. She made a difference in so many people's lives that I'm sure her full influence will never be known. I am so thankful to have grown up with Jann and Jill, both lovely and beautiful ladies, inside and out, just like their mom.
May the Lord bless you all with comfort, happy memories, and peace.

It was a joy to teach with Evelyn for years at Burnet Elementary and
a joy to visit with her in HEB, in the Seton lab waiting room, or any
other chance meeting. She was one of the most outstanding all-round Burnet citizens that we know.
Our love to her family, Jack and Cissy Butler
