Evelyn Wickson

Evelyn Beatrice Tucker Wickson was born on August 31, 1947 in Bastrop Texas to J.E. Tucker and Jewel Pabst Tucker. Evelyn was one of 11 children. She was a beautiful soul that touched so many lives. She joined hands with God on January 16, 2023. At 75, she was a wife of 53 years, a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a Sister, Aunt, cousin, and friend and so many other things to so many people.

“Evie” as she was known by to most, was passionate, hard-working, an amazing cook, a true giver, who was fierce and had a kind gracious heart. Evie loved hard, if you were lucky enough to be loved by her, your life was truly changed forever. Family meant everything to her. Evie boasted about and showed pictures to anyone who would listen.

Her devoted husband, Leonard Martin Wickson, her greatest blessing her Daughter Brandi LaDawn Hawkins and Husband Chad Hawkins. Her Grandchildren Deniese Hawkins, Samantha Hawkins, Andrew Hawkins, Alli Hawkins, Noni Hawkins, Jeffery Hawkins, Kaedi Hawkins, Kayson Hawkins, Della Clopton and husband Jason. As well as, Many great grand children. She’s also survived by 6 sisters Jewel “Elaine” Tucker Floyd, Linda “June“ Tucker Butts and husband Jim Butts, Janie Tucker Beard, Vikki Tucker, Charlotte Tucker Ellet And Husband Joe Ellet, Wilma Tucker Huggins And husband J Will Huggins, and two brothers Roger Tucker and wife Jane and Keith Tucker. Aunt-Nelda Pabst Harris, Uncle-Billy Ray Pabst and Aunt Esther. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and cousins.

Evie was preceded in death by her precious baby boy Jesse James Fowler, parents Jessie and Jewel Tucker, Brothers Mitch Tucker and Gordon Ray Tucker. Brother in-law‘s George Floyd and Leon Beard.

Visitation will be held at Clements Wilcox funeral home in Burnet, Texas on Thursday January 19th from 6 to 8 PM. Services will be at Clements Wilcox funeral home on Friday, January 20 at 2 PM, graveside will take place at Liberty Hill cemetery.
