

Born on April 24, 1940, in Burnet County, Fidelia was the daughter of Ferman and Manuela (Solis) Sandobal. A lifelong Bertram resident, she became known for her dedication to family, community, and service to others.
Fidelia worked as a nurse for many years, caring for patients with compassion and kindness. Her commitment to helping others extended beyond her profession and into every aspect of her life. She was deeply involved in the Bertram community, serving on the Bertram City Council and volunteering with numerous local organizations, including St. Vincent de Paul, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Burnet County Historical Commission, and Holy Cross Catholic Church. She was especially proud of her involvement with the Oatmeal Festival since its inception and rarely missed an opportunity to support a community event.
Fidelia enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing, baking, sharing stories of family history, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns, watching wrestling, and spending time with family and friends. She loved telling stories about Bertram, family connections, and the people who helped shape the community she called home.
She never met a stranger and was known throughout Burnet County for her warm smile, generous heart, and willingness to help. She made people feel welcome and valued.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arnold Salinas; her parents, Ferman and Manuela (Solis) Sandobal; her brothers, Basilio Sandobal and Ray Sandobal; and her sister, Patsy Wooten.
She is survived by her children, Rachel McGinty (Ronnie), Robert Salinas, and Ruben Salinas (Kim); and her sisters, Loretta Peña and Paula (D.V.) Flores
She was a proud grandmother to Briana Acosta (Eddie), Abbie and John McGinty, Joseph and Josh Salinas (Isa). She was especially proud to be a great-grandmother to Mason.
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, extended family members, and many friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, friendship, and generosity.
Fidelia's legacy is one of compassion, service, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on through the family she cherished, the community she served, and the many lives she touched throughout her life.
The visitation for Fidelia will be held on Monday evening June 8 from 6 to 8 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home with the Rosary being at 7. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 9 at 10 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Burnet. Interment will follow at Bagdad cemetery in Leander.
