

Harvey Milton Gebhard went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 13, 2024. Born in Roundtop, TX on April 25, 1943 as the first and only son to Milton and Lillian Gebhard also preceded in death by his sister Jeanette Gebhard.
After a 30 year career at Roadway trucking you could find him and his wife, Jean Gebhard, of over 40 years sitting on their back porch overlooking Lake Buchanan while enjoying listening to classic country music. If you couldn't find them there, you could find them at a BBQ competition where they became the ultimate Texas BBQ pitmasters for 20 years which included multiple cooker of the year awards and countless Grand Championships, building his team name and legacy for Smoke'Um and Stroke'Um. He was an avid angler who loved fishing with friends and family throughout the U. S. and Mexico both salt and freshwater. Harvey and Jean loved to country dance, winning many jitterbug contests at dance halls all across the Lonestar State.
He is survived by his wife Jean Gebhard of Burnet, children Sherry Bird of Burnet, Gary Gebhard of Burnet, Debbie and husband Steve Peek of Spicewood, Jay and wife Felice Baker of Dripping Springs, Diane and husband Mark Scandurra of Austin. He has 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet from 5:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home 306 E Polk Street, Burnet, TX 78611 at 10:00am, and will be laid to rest at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park Cemetery 4219 Park Road 4 S, Burnet, TX 78611.
