

Robert Hunter Colvin, age 17 of Burnet was born November 7, 1993 in Houston to Drew and Susan (Berry) Colvin. He died suddenly Sunday morning March 20, 2011 near Burnet. He was a junior at Burnet High School.
Following his early years in Houston, his family relocated to the Hill Country in the summer of 2000 where he attended Burnet Schools from the 1st to the 11th grade. He was active in the Band throughout Middle School and his 1st year in High School. He loved debate and had shown promising skills in that area.
Hunter’s many accomplishments included earning the rank of Eagle Scout in 2007, playing the baritone, and teaching himself playing the guitar which he was passionate about.
Hunter was full of life, very intelligent, empathetic and was fiercely loyal to his friends. He also possessed a deep love and attachment for his family.
Hunter is survived by his parents Drew and Susan Colvin of Burnet; maternal grandparents Jim and Bette Berry of Horseshoe Bay and paternal grandmother Mildred Colvin of Houston. There are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family to numerous to mention. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather John A. Colvin.
A viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday evening March 22, 2011 from 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon March 23, 2011 at 3pm at the First United Methodist Church in Burnet with Reverend Ellen Ely officiating. Interment will follow at the Lakeland Hills Memorial Park near Burnet.
Memorial contributions in memory of Hunter may be made locally to Burnet Boy Scout Troop 282 or to the scholarship funds of either Valley Lodge # 175 A.F. & A.M. or Burnet Chapter of the Order of the Easter Star # 425.
