Jack Carr

Jack Carr, born on November 6, 1932, in Girard, Texas to parents R.Z. Carr and Elsie (Gilmore) Carr was called away to our Lord and Savior on July 1, 2011, at age 78. He was the heart of our family and a great man who put his family first. Jack served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a small business owner and entrepreneur. He loved spending time with his family, old cars, and traveling. He is survived by a large family that he loved very much.

Jack is survived by his children Janey Leigh and husband Richard of Crowell, Mark Carr and wife Belinda of Sunrise Beach, Cherie Pina and husband Gabe of Kempner, David Carr and wife Jamie of Las Vegas, NV. and Shane Carr of Burnet. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Jack is also survived his brother Roy Carr of Arcadia, MO. and his sister Syble Anderson of Twenty-Nine Palms, CA. Jack was preceded in death his parents and a sister Joey Spain of Lubbock.

The visitation will be held at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home from 6-8 pm Wednesday, July 6, 2011. The funeral will be held at 10am Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Main Street Baptist Church in Burnet with Reverend Jerry White officiating. Military Honors and interment will follow at the Bear Creek Cemetery in Bertram. Those named as pallbearers were Steven Carr, Shane Carr, Peyton Carr, Kyle Pina, Josh Sedwick, Dustin Leigh, Mike Trujillo, Zack Reager, and Kevin Ray.
