Jacqueline Louetta Turner was called to be with the Lord on October 27, 2010.
Jackie was born in Donora, Pennsylvania on August 7, 1930 to Daniel and Pearl Yost. She married George Dallas Turner on October 16, 1953. Mr. and Mrs. Turner were married for fifty-seven years prior to her passing. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Diane Turner.
Our dear mother portrayed strength through her battle with cancer and always had a friendly smile and a contagious sense of humor. While raising her family she enjoyed time doing arts and crafts, as a Girl & Boy Scout den mother, leading classes in vacation bible school, consulting friends and family on Avon products, and being President of the Ladies Lions Club in Franklin, Texas.
She is survived by her husband George Dallas, brother, Daniel Evan Yost, and children, Les Turner and wife Eileen of Baltimore, Dana Hunter and husband Joe of Burnet, Lisa Greinert and husband Randy of Round Rock, and Brad Turner and wife Maria of Austin. She was known as “Mamoo” to her nine grandchildren: Ashley Box and husband Jeremy, Lindsey Hunter, Courtney Turner, Stefany Turner, Randall Greinert, Nicolas Greinert, Alexander Turner, Cristian Turner, Gabriel Turner and one great grandchild, Rylen Box.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. October 30, 2010 at Epiphany Episcopal Church of Burnet with Reverend Ted Hervey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
The laughter has gone away and tears now take its place. You have gone to heaven to stay, with joy upon your face. Sherry has been waiting to share this peaceful place with you, we know your running free...and so we are at peace.
