
Born in Brownwood, Texas, Jamie was raised with the values of hard work, integrity, and service that would define her life. She graduated from San Angelo State University and went on to build a distinguished career with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), serving her country with professionalism and dedication. After many years of faithful service, she retired eight years ago, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and excellence.
Throughout her life, Jamie called several places home. She lived in Savannah, Georgia, and Lafayette, Louisiana, before eventually settling in Houston, and ultimately in Burnet, Texas, where she spent her retirement years.
Family was an important part of Jamie's life. She is survived by her loving sister, Sandra Everett; her nephew, Jay Everett, his wife, Robyn, and their children, Gracelyn, Coralyn, and Bowen Everett; and her nephew, Josh Everett, his wife, Angie, and their family: Sarah Snell, her husband, Collin, and their daughter, Olivia; Mason Everett; Emily Everett; Isabella Everett; and Madelyn Everett.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Don Everett.
Jamie will be remembered for her strength, independence, unwavering sense of duty, and the love she had for her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Jamie's life was held on Saturday, July 11th, at 11am at the Burnet City Cemetery officiated by Rev. Liz Buxton. The family is grateful for the prayers, love, and support shown during this difficult time.
